Steven Chavez is a Los Angeles–based landscape architect. He holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography, with an emphasis in urban landscape photography, from the University of Ulster.

Steven teaches landscape architecture at UCLA Extension and serves as the Founder and Executive Director of the National Association of Minority Landscape Architects (NAMLA). His work is guided by a commitment to cultural expression and environmental stewardship, with the goal of creating landscapes in which both human and multi-species communities can thrive.
